9th Asian Awards

The 9th Awards marked the centenary of the Jalianwala Bagh Massacre — honouring the martyrs with the Founders Award in one of the most moving moments in the ceremony's history.
The 8th Awards honoured more women than any previous ceremony. Sridevi was posthumously honoured with Outstanding Achievement in Cinema just weeks after her passing.
Sachin Tendulkar became only the 4th person in history to receive the Fellowship Award. The 7th Awards also introduced the Rising Star category — won by Lion star Sunny Pawar.
Mother Teresa was posthumously awarded the Founders Award — accepted by her closest living relative. The ceremony was attended by London Mayoral candidates Sadiq Khan and Zac Goldsmith.
2015
5th Asian Awards

The 3rd Awards expanded to honour all Asian nations for the first time. Bruce Lee's widow Linda Lee Cadwell collected the Founders Award on his behalf.
