Sridevi was one of the greatest actresses in the history of Indian cinema — widely regarded as Bollywood's first female superstar. Her iconic performances in films including Sadma, Chalbaaz, Mr. India, Chandni, Lamhe and English Vinglish demonstrated a range and charisma unmatched in Indian cinema. Her comeback in English Vinglish (2012) — her first film in 15 years — was met with critical acclaim and proved that her talent was timeless.
