Adi Godrej is an Indian Industrialist and is Chairman of the Godrej Group, one of the leading Indian consumer goods conglomerates. Godrej has been the Chairman of the Indian Business School since 2001. For his contribution to Indian industry Godrej is a recipient of several awards and recognitions including the Rajiv Gandhi Award 2002 and the Entrepreneur of the Year for the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2010; Best Businessman of the Year for the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2010; Chemexcil’s Life Time Achievement Award 2010; AIMA - J.R.D. Tata Corporate Leadership Award 2010. Godrej has been elected for a Padma Bhushan Indian civilian award which recognises the distinguished services of an individual to India. Godrej is also currently president of Confederation of Indian Industry for 2012 – 2013. The CII is a non-government, not for profit organisation which works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India. In 2012 Godrej was named Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of theYear.
